Was at PMA yesterday and was able to check out the 10D. Being a D30 user I was very interested in the Auto Focus as that is the only complaint I have with the D30.

The lens on the camera at the show was a 28-135 IS f3.5-5.6. To give it a real challenge I zoomed out (135 at 5.6) pointed the camera at the roof which is painted black and at least 20 meters away. The 10D snapped into focus instantly. Section of focus not only lights up in the viewfinder but there is an audible beep telling you it has locked in focus. I was extremely impressed.

Anyone want to buy a good used D30.

Tilo
