Über die Bildqualität der 5D wurde ja schon viel diskutiert, weniger über das neue AF- Modul, welches gegenüber der 20D wirklich verbessert wurde.
Die Möglichkeit das mittlere AF- Messfeld auf 7 zu erweitern (war an meiner EOS-3 immer so eingestellt) finde ich ideal.

Einzige Kritik: Warum nur im AI SERVO Modus und nicht auch im One-Shot Modus?




The EOS 5D camera has a new 9-point AF unit with six Supplemental AF points, a new AF algorithm and new AF circuitry. The new AF system improves subject detection and focusing precision at the center, the most frequently used area, and significantly enhances subject tracking performance. The nine AF points are concentrated at the center, but the extreme left and right AF points are located in the same positions as the corresponding AF points on the EOS-1Ds Mark II. In addition, the six Supplemental AF points, grouped around the center of the image, provide highly accurate focusing and do an especially good job of tracking the subject in the AI SERVO AF mode. These Supplemental AF points are not visible in the finder and cannot be selected manually, but they can be seen in the ZoomBrowser or ImageBrowser software. They are used during automatic AF point selection (AF calculation speed and accuracy are as good as, or better than, the EOS 20D’s) and as AF area expansion points when the center AF point is selected in C.Fn-17-1, “Expanded AF point activation area.” They do not function in the One-Shot AF mode.

Ansonsten bin ich auch sehr interessiert an der AF-Geschwindigkeit der 5D. Sieht ja sehr vielversprechend aus.

In der zitierten Beschreibung steht ganz deutlich, wozu diese zusätzlichen AF-Felder gedacht sind: zur Verbesserung der Schärfenachverfolgung. Nachverfolgen muß ich normalerweise nur bewegte Motive, wo dann üblicherweise auch der AI SERVO Modus aktiv sein dürfte. Feste Motive muß ich normalerweise nicht nachverfolgen und brauche also auch keine zusätzlichen Sensorfelder.

Für mich wäre dies so nachvollziehbar. Im Übrigen ist dies in meinen Augen keine Einschränkung und erst recht kein Kritikpunkt, sondern ein tolles Feature sinnvoll eingesetzt.

Meiner Meinung nach hat Canon auch hier mal wieder echte Innovation gezeigt. Es wurde ein Feature praxisgerecht implementiert, ohne jedoch den Fotografen zusätzlich mit irgendwelchen Einstellungsgimmicks zu belasten. Hätte man diese Technologie nicht extra erwähnt, sondern nur gesagt, daß die Autofokusgeschwindigkeit und -genauigkeit beim Verfolgen bewegter Motive (durch eine neuartige Technologie) entscheidend verbessert wurde, würde jetzt kein Hahn danach krähen oder sogar wieder irgendwelche Kritikpunkte darin finden.

Ich glaube so langsam, daß ich dem Forum ein paar Wochen fernbleiben sollte, bis sich das ganze Theater um die neuen Kameras gelegt hat und man wieder vernünftige Beiträge lesen kann...

Ich glaube so langsam, daß ich dem Forum ein paar Wochen fernbleiben sollte, bis sich das ganze Theater um die neuen Kameras gelegt hat und man wieder vernünftige Beiträge lesen kann...

Das mach ich auf keinen Fall, hab grad jeden Tag was neues zum lachen :D und wenn ich dann in 6-12 Monaten sehe wer dann alles von den größten Trollen ne 5D haben wird dann wird mein innerliches grinsen sowas von breit sein :D

An der EOS-3 war das sehr nützlich, trifft das mittlere AF- Messfeld nicht, wird das nächste der 7 aktiviert.

Das mach ich auf keinen Fall, hab grad jeden Tag was neues zum lachen :D und wenn ich dann in 6-12 Monaten sehe wer dann alles von den größten Trollen ne 5D haben wird dann wird mein innerliches grinsen sowas von breit sein :D
